EXPERTISE – tell us what area(s) you specialize in and why you can be considered an expert in your field. Don’t be bashful, brag about yourself! I specialize in color and classic cutting behind the chair, but my passion is education. I love hairdressers and I love seeing them succeed. I teach technical artistry as well as business skills and marketing for independent and self-employed hairdressers.
TRENDS – What trends in the beauty industry are you currently loving right now? I love the trend toward independence and studio ownership. You can’t put a price on freedom. With all the resources and education available nowadays to inspire creativity and build your business, there has never been a better time to become the master of your own destiny.
STATE OF THE INDUSTRY – will you tell us why you feel education is important in this industry, and why you’re passionate about education? I have had some great mentors in my life and I feel it’s important to give back. I have been lucky to serve as a mentor to so many young stylists who have gone on to great success. I believe in abundance and sharing. Education elevates the industry as a whole. It inspires and lights a spark. Without it, I believe hairdressers die on the vine.

LOVE – please share the love! Why did you choose Image Studios 360? What do you love about being at Image Studios 360?
The majority of my career behind the chair has been spent in a traditional salon environment. Booth renting comes with various challenges that just don’t apply with the Image Studios concept, who’s responsible for laundry, cleaning, color bowls. The little things that over time can become infuriating.
The freedom. To retail the products I believe in, to conduct my business in a fashion that is uniquely Jared Gomez. Is it for everyone? No, but that’s the beauty of having an individual suite–it doesn’t have to be and its not stepping on anyone else’s toes and vice versa!

so many stylist are one trick ponies and the trick isn’t even that good. Stagnation, apathy and laziness have no place in an ever-evolving industry like hair and fashion.

I began my start in the world of cosmetology early in life. I graduated high school and cosmetology school the same month. Passionate about this industry I wanted to learn everything. I never limited myself by narrowing my skill set to one specific specialty. I consider myself a Specialist of Haircolor, Long Hair Cutting, Hair Extensions, Hair Styling, Bridal Specialty Styling, and Makeup.

My philosophy is simple: Never rest on your laurels. I know that my reputation is only as good as my last guests experience. I excel at the fine art of handling even the most difficult of guests. As a cosmetologist, I’m very technical. As a person, I’m very easy going. I don’t push product. I educate on how to get your hair to do what you want. Schedule an appointment with me today, and you won’t regret it.

Continuing my education in this fast paced industry has always been a passion of mine. As a young educator I began as an In-Salon Color Coach. I worked my way up to Education Director and then Salon Manager. Currently I own my own studio salon and work with other like minded individuals.

I have been a licensed instructor since 2001. I currently act as an Instructor for a Cosmetology/Barber Apprenticeship. I love having a student in the salon. It creates an exciting learning environment which my guests and I both enjoy.

Growing up in a family of unruly curly hair you wouldn’t believe I would grow to view hair as an art form. Custom hair is something I believe in; no cut or color can ever be the same. Let me love your hair as well, and in addition show you how to achieve your look at home. I invite you to come in for a style to accompany any occasion or a cut/color to best suit you. My goal is to have you leave my chair feeling confident and beautiful.
