About
Alexander Aguirre is an award-winning stylist and colorist with over a decade of experience in the beauty industry. Based in Greenville, South Carolina, Alexander brings a global perspective to hair, blending technical mastery with artistic intuition. A graduate of the Academy of Hair Technology (Class of 2011), Alexander began his career with distinction, winning two national gold medals in hair competitions—one for bridal styling and the other for cut, color, and style. His early years were spent perfecting bridal artistry at Dimitra Designs, where he developed a deep understanding of elegance and detail. In 2017, Alexander relocated to the vibrant Bal Harbour area of Miami Beach, joining the prestigious Red Market Miami. There, he trained under industry icons Reynald Ricard, Jean-Marc Durante, and Sonia Vate, refining his skills in French cutting and balayage techniques rooted in the Jacques Dessange and Frédéric Fekkai philosophies. By 2019, Alexander had become a lead colorist at Red Market Miami, working with a high-profile clientele including Adriana Lima, Caroline Stanbury, Luis Miguel, Mirka Federer, Victoria & Cristina Iglesias, and Laura Pausini. Following the COVID-19 pandemic, Alexander returned home to Greenville and grounded himself by working alongside his mother at Great Clips. It was a moment of reconnection, resilience, and rebuilding—reaffirming his love for the craft and the community. That journey ultimately led to the creation of The Tone Room by Alex—a studio space dedicated to custom color, lived-in balayage, and effortlessly elevated hair. His approach is detail-driven, globally informed, and always centered around enhancing each client’s natural beauty.
