I founded BeautyLab Korean MedSpa on the core belief that true beauty emanates from within. Our treatments are crafted to reflect how you feel inside – beautiful, glowing, and perfect just as you are. I was born and raised in the countryside of South Korea and came to the U.S. by myself at 26 years old to explore opportunities.
Embedded in me while growing up was the culture of beauty in Korea, which left me with such fond childhood memories of many times with my mom and sister — going to public bath houses before big holidays, soaking in hot tubs, and getting my whole body scrubbed afterward, getting showered with warm milk. Using rice water to rinse my face as a daily routine, apply Camellia oil for hair treatment, dyeing my fingernails with garden balsam flowers, and getting mugwort facials.
I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Korea University, Seoul Korea, one of Korea’s most prestigious universities. And I have over 20 years of experience in the medial field, with the majority of years spent in the Operating Room. I’ve also worked in Pediatrics and Intensive Care Units, GI and eye procedure departments.
I received my Aesthetics Injector Certification from Aesthetics Medical Education Training. I completed further aesthetics training with Stephanie Holvick of RN Faces LLC, and Dr.’s Choi and Lim in South Korea.
I believe that the pursuit of beauty should be experienced like a personal journey or friendship. Drawing inspiration from the Korean way of hospitality, “DaeJeop”, which means to serve guests wholeheartedly. At the core of Beautylab Korean Medspa is the resounding philosophy of serving up beauty with honesty, integrity, and heart.
Currently I live on a homestead farm in Lexington Kentucky after having lived for 15 years in the San Francisco Bay Area. I’m happily married, am a mom of a teenager, I have 2 Great Pyrenees dogs, and am a believer of Jesus Christ. Besides all things beauty I love interior design, gardening, cooking, soap making, and trying different cuisines.

I am a Nurse Practitioner in a small town with over 15 years of medical experience, specializing in aesthetics for the past 2 years. My focus is on making beauty treatments affordable and accessible locally. I collaborate with salons and spas to deliver aesthetic services directly to clients and provide IV therapy in the comfort of their homes.
