I moved to Austin from Las Vegas just two years ago, but I was born in Sonora, Mexico. I went back and forth between the states and Mexico growing up, so I experienced the best of both worlds and I’m very proud that being de aquí y allá has shaped me so much as a person. I started doing hair when I was very young and already had my cosmetology license in full swing by the time I was 18. (Opens calculator app) …so I’ve been licensed for 13 years now! I love how my career has evolved from a teenagers perspective into adulthood and I’ve learned so much about myself and others through the process. Being a hairstylist to me is like a life hack—through thousands of conversations over the years with people from all walks of life, you realize we are all the same and I find that super grounding. At this stage of life and career, I really value having a sense of self and personal style. That is my goal everyday behind the chair is to make you feel more…YOU. I love translating inner beauty into the outward expression of each person —you can do that with a really good haircut that drapes around your face perfectly and brings attention to your features or finding a hair color that enhances your natural skin tone.
