Hi! I’m Ru Arana (He/They), the QueerFriendlyBarber. I first claimed the brand in 2017 in barber school, and had yet to learn how deeply the queer Texan community needs hair artists who outwardly and specifically cater to them. My passion is creating an environment for gender affirming hair, and working to bridge a gap in the barber culture with gender inclusive and expansive education. I’m honored and thrilled to serve the entire ATX community, with a focus on BIPOC and LGBTQ+ populations.
